We caught up with WHEN's Head of Partnerships to find out her why and hear what she's most looking forward to at WHEN

What drew you to become part of WHEN?

My passion for gender equality has been a driving force throughout my career, and that's what drew me to WHEN as the head of partnerships. I believe in the importance of higher education and the impact it can have on women's opportunities, especially women of colour who face unique challenges and barriers. I am excited to work with WHEN to create more of these opportunities. The network's focus on mentorship, professional development, and advocacy aligns closely with my personal values and goals, and I am eager to work together to create a more inclusive and equitable academic environment for all women.

What are you looking forward to bringing to WHEN?

As Head of Partnerships, I'm excited to leverage my skills and expertise to drive meaningful change with WHEN. With a proven track record in developing and managing relationships with external organisations, I'm confident in my ability to identify partnership opportunities and achieve results through effective collaboration.

My years of experience working in enterprise organizations, such as Salesforce, have equipped me with the tools to create strategic partnerships and drive growth. Additionally, my passion for gender equality and understanding of the impact of higher education will prove invaluable as we develop new initiatives to support all women, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds, in this field.

I'm committed to fostering a culture of open communication, collaboration, and innovation where all team members feel empowered to share their ideas and perspectives. By building a strong sense of teamwork and trust, I'm confident that we can achieve our goals and make a real impact in empowering women in higher education.

What are you most excited about with this role?

What excites me most about this role is the opportunity to work towards a cause that I
am truly passionate about: empowering women in higher education. I am looking forward to collaborating with our existing partners and identifying new opportunities to create meaningful change in this important field.

I am also thrilled to be part of a team that is dedicated to making a difference. The commitment and passion of the WHEN team is inspiring, and I am eager to contribute my skills and expertise to help drive our mission forward.

What do you need from the WHEN membership to support you to succeed?

One thing I would ask of our members is to share their perspectives and insights on
partnership opportunities and collaborations. As members of the higher education community, your wealth of knowledge and experience can help us identify new areas for growth and impact. I encourage members to engage with us and provide feedback on our programs and initiatives to ensure that we meet the needs of our community.

Please continue to spread the word about WHEN and our mission. By sharing our story and engaging with others in the academic world, we can build a stronger network and create more opportunities to advance gender equality in higher education.

Overall, I am thrilled to work with WHEN members to make a real impact in this important field. Together, we can empower women in higher education and create a more equitable and inclusive academic environment.
